Abstract
Background: Inappropriate antibiotic use is a global concern, contributing to antibiotic resistance and jeopardizing the effectiveness of these life-saving medications. This study investigates prescribing patterns of antibiotics in two tertiary care hospitals located in Peshawar, Pakistan. Understanding these patterns can inform strategies to optimize antibiotic use and combat the rising tide of resistance in this
region.
