Abstract

Background: Postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) is the primary cause of global maternal mortality and accounts for roughly one-quarter of all maternal fatalities globally. Prevention of excess maternal mortality needs a coordinated strategy to prevention, early identification, and
intervention by a multidisciplinary team.
