Abstract

This study examines the impact of nurses' beliefs of the disparity between knowledge and practice on their work performance efficacy. Nursing professionals have a key role in providing care across various healthcare settings, making it essential for them to maintain a balance between theoretical understanding and practical application. A continuous disparity between nursing knowledge and
practice impedes their capacity to provide optimal care. This descriptive correlational study sought to evaluate nurses' perceptions of this gap and its effects on their individual work performance, task performance, contextual performance, and counterproductive behaviors. Data were gathered from 120 nursing educators at Imam Abdulrahman Alfaisal Hospital utilizing standardized
questionnaires.
